Dog Harnesses

Walks are better when nothing digs or slips. Our dog harnesses spread pressure across the chest instead of the throat, with adjustable straps and secure buckles for everything from strolls to training.

Measure chest girth behind the front legs. Front-clip styles help with pullers; step-in designs suit wigglers; reflective trim earns its keep on early-morning walks.

About Dog Harnesses: buying guide & FAQs

Dog Harnesses at Loaf & Wag: 47 products in stock, $25 to $84, every one shipping free from a US warehouse.

We are a retailer, not a manufacturer — this collection stocks Pet Life, Touchdog and Dog Helios alongside unbranded pieces we judge on build quality alone, and every product page names the brand that makes that item.

What to look for

  • Front-clip harnesses discourage pulling by turning the dog; back-clip designs are more comfortable for dogs that already walk well.
  • Two fingers should fit under a fastened collar — tighter chafes, looser slips over the head.
  • Check hardware, not fabric: the clip and D-ring are what fail first on a strong puller.
  • Step-in harnesses suit dogs that dislike anything going over the head.

Frequently asked questions

Harness or collar for walks?
A harness spreads pressure across the chest rather than the throat, which is safer for pullers, small breeds and flat-faced dogs. Collars are fine for dogs that already walk on a loose lead.
How do I measure for a harness?
Measure neck circumference and chest girth at the widest point behind the front legs. If the two measurements land in different sizes, go by chest girth.
How fast is shipping, and what about returns?
Every order ships free from a US warehouse and arrives within 4–10 business days. Orders placed before 3:00 PM Eastern Time on a business day count that day as business day one. You have a 30-day return window; manufacturing defects are covered free, and other return conditions vary by brand and are listed in our refund policy.
